Erdogan’s wife asks Melania Trump to give Gaza children the same attention as Ukrainians

The wife of the President of Turkey, Emine Erdogan, has asked the First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, to call on the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, to stop the military operation in the Gaza Strip. This was reported by the Communications Department of the Turkish leader’s administration, RIA Novosti reports.

Emine Erdogan noted that she had communicated with Melania six years ago and appreciated her sensitivity, which was reflected in the recent letter from the White House host’s wife to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I believe that in these days when the world is experiencing a general awakening and the will to recognize Palestine is becoming global, your call on behalf of Gaza will be the fulfillment of a historical responsibility towards the Palestinian people,” Emine Erdogan wrote.

On August 17, Fox News published the text of a “peace letter” that Melania Trump sent to Putin through her husband. In it, she wrote that all children dream of love, security, and opportunity.

On August 18, Trump reported that his Russian counterpart responded positively to Melania’s letter.
