Visiting foreign countries during the holiday period carries many risks, you should eat safe food and water, and use repellents in southern countries. This was reported in a conversation with TASS by the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova .
“A person must remember all the risks that surround him, and not relax to such an extent that he forgets that he is vulnerable,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
Popova also reminded about basic measures to prevent various intestinal infections, calling for washing hands, vegetables and fruits, as well as being sure of the purity of the water, and having information about what kind of water the ice is made from.
In addition, the head of Rospotrebnadzor reminded that the flu season is currently beginning in the southern hemisphere, noting that a mask will not be superfluous when traveling.
Among other things, the agency’s interlocutor called for the use of repellents when traveling, since many insects carry serious diseases.
“These are simple rules, but it is very important to follow them in order to have a good vacation, maintain your health and not bring anything back to your home country,” the head of Rospotrebnadzor summed up.
In early March, Russian tour operators reported that they were noting growing demand for trips to Iran . According to analysts, the volume of bookings for the destination for January-February has already grown by 30% compared to last year. Among the reasons, experts highlighted the decline in prices for tour packages and the expansion of supply. However, experts noted that it is too early to talk about mass interest of Russians in the country – Iran is capable of attracting more tourists, but it lacks a deeper positive PR campaign in the Russian tourism market.
