It notes that this will require amending the article of the Russian Labor Code regarding non-working holidays.

Zyuganov noted that November 7 is already officially a day off in Belarus .

“The bill aims to restore historical justice and will help preserve the memory of key events of the 20th century, including the parade of November 7, 1941, which became a unique event in world history and a turning point in the Battle of Moscow , bringing the Soviet people’s victory in the Great Patriotic War closer,” the CPRF leader commented on the initiative.

At the end of September, Yaroslav Nilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy, and Veterans’ Affairs, proposed making the last day of the year —December 31—a permanent non-working day.
